At every stage of development, the internationally renowned Kindermusik curriculum is designed to give children the opportunity to grow in not only their musical abilities, but also in other crucial learning areas. Each class follows a recognizable routine with musical activities, movement, singing, rhyming, and child-caregiver bonding. We engage your child’s mind and senses during these most critical developmental years.
When you enroll in Kindermusik, you receive high-quality online resources that correspond with each monthly unit. These materials include videos, literacy and numeracy activities, craft ideas, sign language, and music streaming.
Our studio is located in Unit 2, 10217 – 13 Street, in Dawson Creek, BC. We’re right beside City Furniture & Appliances. For childcare centres and other special circumstances, we do have a mobile studio kit, where we can bring Kindermusik right to you
Miss Caitlyn was fully accredited for teaching all ages in 2017. She completed a course with Kindermusik University, and attended an intensive in-person training before completing practicum requirements. She taught Kindermusik from January 2018 to about June 2020 when we decided to stop offering virtual classes. Caitlyn also carries a Master of Arts in Music and Bachelor of Music, and has a long history of voice performance and teaching singing.
While Kindermusik is an international program that’s typically operated as a business, DCCS has been committed to bringing a non-profit lens to our programming. We want to make sure this world-class program can remain accessible for families who continue to feel the pressures of high cost of living in our area.

For a child's brain, body, and heart
The benefits of music are truly transformational, especially for young children who are already soaking up everything in the world around them. When paired with movement and instrument play, music creates neurological magic, lighting up a child’s brain and positively impacting all areas of development.
A vehicle for language acquisition
It’s easy to remember new words when they’re set to music and paired in rhymes. Kindermusik classes are chock-full of language learning! In Foundations classes, we work with mirroring and having infants watch their caregivers make different sounds and shapes with their mouths. Toddlers and preschoolers learn not just songs, but also rhymes and dances with patterns and sequences that will help them form complete sentences.
Healthy social-emotional experiences
Kindermusik lessons are crafted by experts on early childhood development to encourage executive function skills. The curriculum works to build skills like self-regulation, empathy, and working together to promote healthy social interactions.
First steps to new friendships
Birth to age seven are especially exciting years when brain architecture begins to develop, laying the ground work for early language skills and the higher cognitive functions that follow.
