Dawson Creek Choral Society

How to become an offical DCCS Sponsor

"Making music is not a competition... It is not a race to the top... It is a unique chance to work together, feel together, emote together, create together, and more."

Join us in building a resilient future

Through the medium of music, our programs inspire members and audiences to grow, to engage, and to thrive in our northern community. As a non-profit organization, we rely on the support of individuals, foundations, and corporations to make music accessible and affordable in our community. Each dollar helps to raise the curtain on our current and future seasons.

We're currently looking for 2024-25 Season Sponsors, and would love to get to know you and your organization. Please contact us to get started or read on to learn more about how you could help.

Our Reach

In our Dawson Creek, our events reach more than 10,000 audience members per year through engagement and outreach work, partnerships, and performances. Our educational programs have a history of enrollment numbers upwards of 200 families (many with multiple siblings and generations). As a sponsor, your logo will be displayed on all online platforms, on a banner at all events, and in our studio. Our sponsorship package includes event tickets so that our sponsors can experience first-hand what we do.

Monetary Donations

We have a comprehensive sponsorship package for monetary donations, with tiered levels of recognition for our donors. Our annual budget—pre-covid, about $130,000—is normally augmented by BC Community Gaming Grants. This year however, we're not eligible for this funding as we did not operate last year. This leaves our organization in a budgetary shortfall which means your donations are crucial for running programs the way they should be run. Monetary donations could be made in lumpsum, or over time to help cover ongoing costs.

In-Kind support

As a non-profit, we track the monetary value of donated goods and volunteer hours. The in-kind donations we receive free up budget room for other costs. Some areas we need volunteers for include ushering and front-of-house at concerts and volunteers at special events (set-up/take-down, ticket sales, hospitality, surveys, poster distribution, etc.). In previous years, in-kind donated goods have included: choir risers/staging equipment, technology, pre-payment of performance rights, printing, recycling, and software subscriptions.

Our Sponsorship Levels are put together by consideration of sponsor needs along with what we can realistically provide. We are always open to other forms of recognition. If you would prefer to donate an “in-between” amount, or fixed amounts on a monthly basis, please contact us as we’re happy to offer flexibility within this model.

Capital Wishes are the long-term goals that we have for our programs. They’re the things we can’t normally purchase without grant funding or dedicated sponsorships. If you see something in the above lists that you could help us with, our programs would be elevated and both participants and audience members will know the difference.
